An introduction for would be and beginner gardeners to the wonderful world of gardening. This class will get you started on the right track to get your garden going. Topics include site planning, soil amending and fertilization, garden design and planning, planting perennials, annuals and vegetables, as well as insect and critter control. You will also be introduced to the basics of building raised beds and installing a drip irrigation system.

The Container Vegetable Garden and Drip Irrigation Practical Workshop will introduce the basics required to grow a variety of vegetables in containers regardless of space constraints. The class will cover: container types; soil for containers; light and water requirements; plant selection and care; fertilization and pest management. The concepts and equipment for drip irrigation for containers will be explained. The class will include a hands-on demonstration of both container vegetable gardening and drip irrigation.
